Webinar description:
It has become commonplace to include sustainability metrics in investment thinking. The drivers for this are both ethical and pragmatic: Trustees naturally want to do the right thing; and assessing whether holdings might have business models at risk of climate-related regulatory action, or carry reputational risk through energy consumption now form part of the risk/return calculation. The same applies with bonds.
However, that doesn’t make it easy. There are huge challenges in achieving visibility of emissions. TCFD has arrived for some schemes already, and it’s coming down the track for many more. How are trustees reacting to these new reporting requirements? More broadly, do they believe that there’s a strong business case for sustainable investment? And is engagement or disinvestment the better tool for effecting change?
In this web seminar, we unveil research conducted amongst Trustees of over 100 schemes, and our expert panel debates how to navigate the challenges ahead.
