Webinar description:
Inflation in the UK was 10.1% in the 12 months to September and is expected to remain high for some time, intensifying the current cost-of-living crisis. While it is a difficult time for many, it is particularly challenging for those planning to retire, especially when faced with a fall in the value of their pension due to market volatility.
This webinar will look at the key considerations for members as they approach retirement, and assess how schemes and employers can help them decide on the right course of action.
In addition, it will discuss the extent to which schemes and employers could use financial education, guidance and advice to help make the best choices and how that could be most effectively provided. Questions it will ask include:
- What are the key considerations for members approaching retirement at the current time?
- How can employers, trustees and pension funds help members make the best decisions?
- How best to communicate to members, especially if pension pots have fallen
