Louise Sivyer

Policy Manager, Regulatory Policy Directorate, The Pensions Regulator

Louise Sivyer is a policy manager in TPR’s Regulatory Policy Directorate. Louise joined the Regulator in 2007, and has worked in both policy and operational teams, across issues relating to both DB and DC.

In her current role Louise manages a team responsible for developing policy relating to the Governance and Administration of trust based pension schemes, including TPR’s 21st Century Trustee initiative, and the regulation of DC schemes more widely. She previously led on the development of the DC Code of Practice published in 2016.

Before joining the Regulator, Louise spent 12 years working in the pensions industry in technical roles ranging across the pension mis-selling review, third party pension administration, and TPAS (The Pensions Advisory Service).

Jenny Holt

Jenny has worked for Standard Life for 14 years across a number of roles. A qualified actuary, she started her career doing more traditional roles in Finance before moving on to work on large projects with a wider business focus. Since 2009, she has worked in proposition roles, leading the Investment Solutions team for 5 years before taking on broader responsibility for the Customer and Workplace channels which has ultimately lead to her current role as Proposition Director for the Phoenix Group life companies.

Callum joined our Investment practice in 2015 and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He has more than eleven years’ of pensions, actuarial and investment experience including the delivery of strategic investment advice.

Callum is an FCA-regulated investment consultant responsible for some of our largest Master Trust and single-employer trust clients and is a member of the Governance Committee.

Manuela Sperandeo

Manuela Sperandeo, Managing Director, is EMEA Head of Factor, Sustainable and Thematic ETFs for EII, responsible for driving the strategy for these product segments across product development, distribution and thought leadership.

Prior to that, she was a member of the iShares Product Innovation team where she was responsible for Fixed Income product research. Manuela joined Blackrock in April 2014 from Barclays, where she spent 6 years working across several roles in the Investment Bank and the Wealth and Investment Management divisions.

Most recently she was a Director at Barclays Capital Fund Solutions, an asset management business specialising in absolute return and alternative indexation strategies. Prior to that, she was a member of the Product Development team focusing on investment products for Barclays private and retail clients. Prior to Barclays she worked as an investment analyst at Alpstar, a credit hedge fund and as a Structured Derivatives Sales at Credit Suisse. Manuela has been a founding board member of the European chapter of Women in ETFs.

Manuela earned an Economics Degree, with distinction, from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Steve Charlton

DC Managing Director, EMEA and Asia, SEI

Steve joined SEI in 2017 as SEI’s Defined Contribution Managing Director for EMEA & Asia. In his role, he is responsible for building upon the success of SEI’s UK DC proposition across global markets.

Steve has 30 years of experience in the pensions industry, with particular expertise in defined contribution plans. He joined SEI from Vanguard Asset Management where he was most recently their Defined Contribution Manager for Europe.

Michelle Cracknell

Pension Trustee and Non-executive Director

Michelle Cracknell has a portfolio career as a Pension Trustee and Non-Executive director of 5 companies. She was Chief Executive of the Pensions Advisory Service from October 2013 – 2018. She started her career in financial advice business where she became a shareholding director prior to selling it to Aegon. She then was Strategy Director at Skandia/Old Mutual and a consultant before being approached to head up TPAS. Michelle qualified as an Actuary in 1997.
